“A Glimpse of English Literature” published by Zhejiang Education Publishing House is a selection of papers on the literary theories of English-speaking countries such as Britain, America and Australia, for which he has recently won the “Prize for Excellent Achievement of
Professor Zhu has been long engaged in the teaching, research and translation of English and American literatures. He began to take up the research on Australian literature in the early 1980s and has published more than ten academic papers on Australian literature in newspapers and journals home and abroad, including “Austrilian Books Review”. He has translated “The Eye of the Storm”, the masterpiece of Patrick Victor Martindale White, the Australian winner of Nobel Prize for Literature. In the early 1990s, as Chief Editor and translater of “Selections of Contemporary Australian Short Stories and Novellas”, and he won the second prize of “The 2nd National Excellent Foreign Literature Books” and the 3rd prize of “Excellent Social Science Achievement” organized by Zhejiang provincial government.
