From April 27 to May 1, 2006,The 1st Symposium on French-Teaching in Asian-Pacific Region of the International Federation
of Professors of French(F.I.F.P) was held in Taipei, Taiwan, China. 230 teachers, experts and scholars from 30 different countries
and regions(including 20 Asian-Pacific countries and regions) attended the symposium. 8 teachers of French from Mainland
China were invited, among whom was Miss Meng Xiaomin from the Institute of French Language and Culture, SIS ,ZJU, who
addressed at the conference on ‘Misunderstanding in Cross-Curtual Communication and French- Teaching’.
Madame Claire Saillard, Assistant Director of French cooperation program and Mademoiselle Eva Martin, Assistant Director
of education program, both working in the Department of Culture, Science and Technology of the French embassy in PRC,
were also invited to the symposium.
