The Scientific Research and Planning Bureau of State Language Commission approved the project application of Prof. Shi Xu

A recent notification from State Language Commission had it that the project application brought forth by Prof. Shi Xu, the
Director of Institute of Discourse and Cultural Studies of SIS, ZJU, was approved and initiated by the Scientific Research and
Planning Bureau of State Language Commission.
The project Prof. Shi proposed is “Setting up Paradigm for Chinese Discourse Studies: Researching into the external and
internal causes and the fundamental conditions of the Chinese way of Discourse Studies”. And the Scientific Research and
Planning Bureau of State Language Commission approved it as the key program of the scientific research on application of
language of the Outline of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan.
