 The global media and Hong Kong’s decolonization

On Oct 17, the world-renowned scholar on media studies, Professor Lee Chin-chuan from the City University of Hong Kong and the University of Minnesota, gave a lecture on the global media and Hong Kong’s decolonization, which was jointly hosted by the Institute of Discourse and Cultural Studies, School of International Studies, and the School of Media and World Cultures. He offered a discourse analytic approach to the international media informed by a global, historical and political-economical perspective. The lecture generated interesting questions and discussions from staff and students from both Schools.
