Prof. Zhiwei Feng from Ministry of Education Gave Lectures in School of International Studies

Upon the invitation from the
lectures on the afternoon of Oct. 25 and
Translation. 2) Case Grammar and the Frame Net.
Using videos, photos, charts and tables, Prof. Zhiwei Feng elaborated on what is machine translation, how the machine
translation develops, how the fame net evolves from case grammar, and its implications for machine translation. His lectures
captured the attention of the audiences not only from the
Prof. Zhiwei Feng has two master’s degrees, one in linguistics from
from China University of Science and Technology. He has been visiting professor and consultant in several distinguished
universities in
Ministry of Education and concurrent professor at
Communication University of China and
Prof. Zhiwei Feng’s academic interests range over a variety of areas such as machine translation, computational linguistics, natural language processing, the study of terminology, applied linguistics, linguistic theory and corpus linguistics.
