May 18, 2006, Pro Helvetia confered Pro. Fan Jieping of SIS in Zhejiang University the Rorbert Walser Acedemic Research and Translation Achievment Award, with the bonus of 5,000 francs. In China, Pro. Fan Jieping is one of the chief representatives in the field of research on Rorbert Walser literature, who has published a series of monographs, translations and acedemic theses, and undertaken National Social Science programs. This award for Pro. Fan Jieping shows the Swiss Federal Government’s approbation of the foreign literature research of Zhejiang University.
