Li Hanzheng from SIS wining the second prize in National French Speech Contest for University Students

October 27, 2012, The 5th Casio Cup French Speech Contest was successfully closed in Changsha, Hunan Province. As a result, the competitor from Nanjing University won the first prize, Li Hanzheng, a 2009 French Major from SIS of Zhejiang University won the second prize, and the other second prize winner comes from Beijing Foreign Studies University.

 

It is the 5th contest held by the Chinese Seminar of French Teaching since the contests in 2008 and 2009. The topic for the finals of this Speech Contest was “On Filial Piety” (Réflexions sur la piété filiale). The contest started in September, 2012. And after a series of competitions, a total of 60 competitors entered the national preliminary contest. On the principle of anonymity of competitors and schools, the top 12 competitors were selected to take the national finals to be held in

Zhongnan University. 

 

Under the instructions from her teachers, Li Hanzheng has been working diligently throughout the years and always been one of the top students.

 

Li’s success in winning the second prize is an honor to Institute of French Language and Culture, to School of International Studies and to Zhejiang University after success in winning the first and third prizes in national speech contests in the previous years.
